I build strategies to grow cross border eCommerce at Amazon. My focus is bringing US merchants into the EU, and my work encompasses the entire cycle of launching an eCommerce business in a new market, including pitching the opportunity, overcoming compliance and logistics challenges, and growing sales.I’m a sales leader. I’ve built a multi-million digital marketing business in the US from the ground up, developing everything from positioning to sales playbooks from scratch. I’ve closed hundreds of deals myself from cold contact, and coached my team through hundreds more. I’m an experienced people manager, as I’ve had 26 different direct reports, 20 of whom I hired personally, from several different countries and backgrounds. I started my career as an English teacher, where I taught the fundamentals of communication. I’ve combined these tools with my own knowledge and curiosity to build relationships and influence complex decisions throughout my career.I have an international viewpoint. My life’s purpose is to break down barriers and build relationships across cultures, and right out of college I moved to Russia, where I lived for eight years. I found that business was a great way to fulfill this purpose, and I’ve found success working with colleagues, clients, and partners from over 20 countries. Outside of work, I am a husband and father of a rowdy toddler. I am currently studying at the Kellogg Executive MBA program, and I enjoy playing the saxophone and going to the sauna.
