I run a large technical team to deliver a network refresh program of 35000 devices. I was initially recruited to lead a technical team as lead architect for a small pilot. Following the successful deployment of the pilot I was promoted to engagement manager to lead the full program. Under my direction the team grew from 10 employees to 74. My duties include: Commercial oversight of the program. Operational management of the program. People management of the team Responding to customer and management escalations.

I oversee the design and delivery of the network service to WPP from IBM using both 3rd parties and also internal IBM resources. I am key to these designs and ensuring that my vision is turned into reality.• I am the technical lead for the network refresh program for 15,000+ network devices. I have developed the plan to ensure that the right solution is proposed. Baked into the plan is working out how we find devices that are not known to the customer. I have a team of architects who draft the site designs, who work alongside a 3rd party who carry out the same tasks.• Designed and delivered large projects such as a 3000 user consolidation into a campus location of 9 distinct operating companies in Shanghai to take advantage of shared infrastructure. This model is now adopted for the account for various other campus locations globally.• I am regularly requested to oversee the BAU operation to ensure the 3rd parties operating this part of the contract are delivering to our expected requirements.• Migrated the project services from legacy teams to the third party. This has meant identifying gaps and ensuring the legacy teams pass their knowledge on. This is a significant revenue stream for the account. I had a team of global network engineers who needed to be freed up to work on more strategic projects.• Manage the network team to ensure the commitments expected by senior management are delivered. I have encouraged my reports to gain industry recognised certifications. This has been beneficial to both the delivery of the service and also gives them recognition for the work they have put in over the years. This was not encouraged by their previous managers.• Developed the global team structure for the network team for the account. This was a very complex and disjointed team supporting c150,000 users.

Kantar is the data insight arm of WPP with 35,000 employees. I managed a small team of very technical engineers who supported the voice and data networks infrastructure. • Managed the network projects which were delivered to Kantar to support their expanding business. Although my focus was on EMEA this project role was for the global network team. This involved working with local teams to understand the details on how to procure equipment locally or if it should be done centrally. • Delivered various network projects to Kantar, covering office moves, deployment of new technologies, and migration to centralised systems.• My team supplied 3rd Line support for the Kantar network estate. This team also mentored the 2nd line team who expanded their skills over the years to grow into well rounded engineers.• I was responsible for reporting to the senior management on the performance of the network and reporting any significant issues.Previously in Kantar I was a team lead for the server team and was a senior PC engineer.
