This was the ultimate SysAdmin position. When I first started we were a Solaris/Cisco shop and migrated to a streamlined VMWare ESX/Linux/Cisco shop. I really cut my teeth and learned Cisco internetworking, and honed my Linux skillset in an enterprise environment. Not until I held this position was I comfortable enough to run Linux full time at home on my personal machines. Bash scripting, perl scripting, helped to manage the ISP core network for Dreamscape Online (now Northland Communications). Worked with a fantastic group of individuals.
