Profile bio

About Franklin Mosley

As a young child, I was introduced to computers, and they became my passion. I began writing programs, and by the age of 10, I knew what I wanted to do when I "grew up" without understanding how computers and technology would influence our world in the future.Fast forward to present times, and we live in a digitally connected world. Innovations have improved business and personal technology while increasing productivity. Unfortunately, this has also led to opportunities for, and an increase in, cyber threats. According to the 2021 Data Breach Investigations Report by Verizon, 85% of data breaches are due to attacks on software, highlighting the critical importance of software security. My passion for cybersecurity began many years ago, and I've had the opportunity to advance my career in the field. I have held various roles and I have been responsible for setting strategic visions that aligned with business objectives. Over time, I transitioned from a staff-level engineer to a manager and have since led teams in the areas of product security, infrastructure security, and compliance. As a manager, I have had the privilege of building diverse and inclusive teams that have excelled in their roles. I believe that diverse teams bring different perspectives and ideas to the table, which can lead to more innovative and effective solutions.I've worn many different hats, on many projects, and my experiences have taught me my professional value is:• I am committed to creating a positive work environment where everyone feels valued and included.• I possess a broad knowledge of best security practices, hardware, software, and networking technologies.• I am a technical person at the core that can fluently speak geek, and have the ability to communicate complex technical concepts with all levels of the organization.• I excel in collaborating with cross-functional teams and have a proven track record of using my communication skills to influence stakeholders to prioritize cybersecurity initiatives.• I enjoy problem solving. Complexity doesn’t scare me.• I can see the big picture, but I’m a detail-oriented person. So, if you want to talk security, software, technology, or even sports, please reach out. I am always open to making new professional acquaintances.

Listed skills include Security, Information Security, Distributed Systems, Team Leadership, and 46 others.
