PPBE stands for Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution. This is the system that was established in the 1960s for the Defense Department to request and execute money. It has been modified many times since, but some features persist to this day. Congress established this commission to study it.

I was assigned to the Economic & Manpower Analysis Division within Program Analysis & Evaluation (PA&E). I was also part of the Cost Analysis Improvement Group (CAIG).

I performed Physics research on the DZero experiment at Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory in Batavia, IL, and the CMS experiment at CERN in Geneva, Switzerland. For DZero, I monitored operations and analyzed data for the luminosity detector, which used photomultiplier tubes and fast electronics to measure the presence of particle interactions every 396.

Taught sophomore level physics in the summers of 2004 and 2005

I worked on particle phusics research. I was part of a team that manufactured an 80,000 channel detector, which I also helped commission and operate. I analyzed data, ran simulations, made presentations, and wrote papers. My thesis was entitled: "First Measurement of the Differential Inclusive Cross Section for Jet Production at DZero Run II.”
