In addition the role has the responsibility for The Co-operative Banks Life Insurance company and managing the key relationships with regulators and credit rating agencies. I also had a further period as Interim Chief Executive of Co-op Bank March / April 2017

Leading The Co-operative Bank as it enters a growth phase following bank registration in October 2011.

Leading the product management team which includes all banking product portfolio's - transactional, deposits, lending and insurance. The business unit also has an Insurance Life company. Leading the communications team which has responsibility for all external, internal and corporate communications as well as brand management responsibilities. This included the re-branding exercise following bank registration. In addition my wider senior management responsibilities related to general governance, strategy setting, business planning and culture leadership.

The role provides strategic governance and frameworks for the product, marketing and distribution businesses for The National Bank retail bank which includes the Consumer and Small Business customer segments. The role also provided the strategy development and business management and co-ordination function.

To oversee the management of the National Bank portfolio of transactional and deposit products plus the management of the e-commerce portfolio.This portfolio has a balance sheet of $20 billion, customer numbers of 800,000, annual revenues of $500m and management team of 20. The role is primarily a leadership and strategy role operating in this role both at a business unit and broader bank management team level.
