Gary Abbott has been advising C-suite executives for more than 20 years. He has extensive finance and investment experience that he developed by working in both operational and capital market roles. From 1994-2007, he held a number of senior positions with Wall Street firms. During that time, Gary was a widely published sell-side analyst, hedge fund manager, and institutional equity salesman. Mr. Abbott regularly interfaced directly with hundreds of executives in a variety of industries where he learned the best practices across multiple business disciplines. In late 2007, he moved from Wall Street to the corporate world to work in Finance and Investor Relations for a Chinese technology company. In this role, he was directly responsible for all external communications on a global basis. His responsibilities included hosting and/or appearing at marketing launches, strategic partnerships, investor presentations, investor meetings and conferences, and quarterly earnings announcements. Additionally, Mr. Abbott was responsible for financial planning and budgeting, financial reporting, SEC filings, and other day-to-day financial duties. In early 2015, Gary returned to his Wall Street roots to begin a second tour of duty with Merriman Capital until the firm closed, after which Gary began his own consulting business aimed at advising senior executives across all areas of business strategy, finance, M&A, and other capital market-facing engagements. Gary holds a MBA degree from the highly ranked program at The Fisher School at The Ohio State University, in addition to a BS degree in Business Administration from the University of Arizona.
