Through an acquisition, I worked on a product for next generation Application Performance Monitoring. My main responsibility involved leveraging existing monitored data from different domains to provide a holistic perspective and unified view of applications and business transactions. The workflow was from top level health indicator to deep-dive problem diagnosis in application code.* Worked with UX and responsible for the APM UI* Worked with PM and responsible for part of the product delivery, including QA* Integrated and managed build systems* Served as the liaison for any 3rd party integration to the product* Triaged requests from support and escalation. Often this required direct interaction with customers on live systems.As the product matured, a new version is required along with a SaaS variation. In this role, I:* Led a new team of 6 members, and responsible for overall UI* Planned and drove feature development* Was responsible for overall implementation of product packaging, seamless customer experience for product installation, deployment, migration, and upgrade* Reviewed documentations* Inspired by the DevOps culture and actively adopt it* Led the operation team for the online serviceIn addition, I was also part of a brand-new SaaS initiative. In this project, I:* Acted as the main entry-point to Toronto from various members around the globe* Came up with implementations driven by the project vision and requirements* Participated in researching two-way integration with other 3rd analytics services* Dockerized in-house applications for both deployment and testing purposes* Managed several microservices for accepting incoming data

I joined Quest as a member of the UI team using their proprietary framework. The nature structure of the product allowed me to take ownership in various UI of the product, and enabled me to:* Took requirements from PM/dev manager* Worked with UX to design a workflow* Negotiated with back-end for APIs and data model* Requested and validated more feature of the framework to fit with requirements.* Implemented according to specsI also took part in other teams who developed their branded product based on the existing framework as a liaison and/or developer. These specialized monitoring products includes Java/.NET, Virtualization, and Industrial Communications. The responsibilities largely remained the same, with the exception of scope expanding to cross-function and cross-product lines. During this time, the market was calling for Application Performance Monitoring, and I joined the newly created team for this exciting opportunity.I remained active in creating tools to increase productivity and address certain unique development needs.

I held this position while completing undergraduate studies, and not continuous. I worked under mentorship of other senior developers, and this provided great exposure to professional and enterprise software development. My responsibilities included:* Software V&V: created test cases, executed test plans and produce test reports* Tools creation: developed tools for environment setup and various purposesIt was during this time a self-initiated test tool to analyze log files had been adopted to the core product.
