I led process improvement, technology implementation/advisory and new department planning projects at major state universities and top national cancer consortia, often to help support CCSG (Cancer Center Support Grant) applications and renewals. On some projects, I managed a direct report.On process improvement projects, I utilized Design Thinking methodologies to understand my clients and facilitate decision-making to help reduce handoffs, improve data quality, and increase transparency. Through process flow diagramming on these projects, I developed a proficiency in Microsoft Visio.For technology implementation projects, I was responsible for developing OnCore implementation and risk mitigation strategies across institutions within a cancer consortium. I also created and managed operational and technical training programs for 500+ staff across various functional areas, during which I simultaneously led end-user trainings and managed a team of five trainers. For new department planning projects, I provided guidance on how to establish a new office through knowledge of industry best practices and previous client setups. This included designing workflows, developing necessary documentation (e.g., policies, SOPs, work instructions), and modeling staffing levels / job responsibilities given different short- and long-term office budgets.
