Used Laser-Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy (LIBS) to analyse molten salt mixtures from a standoff distance for use in molten salt nuclear reactors and small module reactors. Worked in collaboration with the National Nuclear Laboratory.

Laser-induced breakdown spectroscopy (LIBS) of actinides for rapid isotopic and elemental analysis for nuclear forensics. Used both emission and absorption spectroscopy with laser-produced plasmas to interrogate samples relevant to the nuclear industry.

Awarded funding for commercialisation of my PhD research. Allowed me to supervise two delivery teams of researchers and software developers working concurrently on a border security application. Supervised three staff members. Gained experience in team leadership, project management and delivering to scope and budget.
