About Greg Schmidt
I was born in Topeka, Kansas and have spent the majority of my life in or around the area. My work experience began in about 2002 when I started my own lawn mowing company. Throughout that time I built a customer base by adding new clients to my route as the years progressed and I was able to network more. I gained the ability to manage different programs such as Microsoft Excel and Word to utilize my records management and billing system for each of my customers. During the end of each month each client was provided an invoice that included date of service and a line item detail of each job performed also including the final bill for that given month. My work career was put on a slight hault when I chose to continue my education and basketball at Fort Hays State University. My collegiate career consisted of (3) years of school at Fort Hays State University. I played for the schools basketball team while pursuing a communications degree. Following my third year, I transferred to Washburn University in Topeka, KS to finish my education. My degree was modified slightly and is known as"Corporate Communications." Shortly after graduating in winter of 2011, I was hired on at Pitney Bowes as an Account Manager for Topeka and the surrounding areas. I worked that position for less then two years before being offered a job with Ricoh, USA. I accepted the position as an Account Executive for the Topeka and surrounding areas. Recently, I found my passion being in the outdoor power equipment industry and am currently employed by Golden Eagle selling and supporting Echo, Shindaiwa, and Bearcat products throughout the state of KS and the western half of Missouri.

So it was my job to be able to express the importance of different "arenas" we could help companies in their everyday business outside of an envelope.Therefore it was my duty to be able to express the different services and solutions we offer to try and help "re brand" what the company has been traditionally known for.It was my job to continually call on my leased customer base, as well as zero based accounts.I managed a territory that spread from Topeka to the outside surrounding areas. The job consists of building new clients and being able to maintain the current database that you acquire.It was my responsibility to be a consultant to the customer by being very well rounded with the amount of mail industry knowledge as that continues to change with each coming day.

From this time period I was the manager of my own lawn business. I eventually acquired about 25 different routes over the years beginning from zero. It was my responsibility to keep track of each customer's needs and try to mow on a pattern that was satisfactory to them. Each month's end I would provide each customer with their own invoice stating the work that had been done for that month and the costs associated. My job also consisted of a lot of one on one conversations with the customer. This is what separated my business from others because I took the time to know who I was working for. In the end, this procedure in staying close with my customer base helped me to never lose a lawn due to service, complaints, or for any other matter.
