Responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of NSW Procurement Program Management Office (PMO), including project registration and tracking, benefits tracking, and resource allocation.1. Designed and implemented NSW Procurement's PMO Framework using a Human Centred Design (HCD) approach developed through consultation with key stakeholders.2. Implementation of the 'Teamwork' project management solution to standardise the management and delivery of projects, in conjunction with a purpose-built MS Teams/SharePoint solution to digitally manage the entire portfolioActed as NSW Procurements Liaison Officer as part of the NSW Government's COVID-19 response. Based at the State Emergency Operations Centre (SEOC) at Sydney Olympic Park, this role coordinated communications between NSW Procurement and NSW Health regarding PPE sourcing and warehousing, air travel, high intensity cleaning and hotel quarantine accommodation.

This was a new role established within the renewed NSW Procurement organisation post devolution of procurement functions to NSW Government agencies. In this role I developed, implemented and maintained the governance framework including standards, processes, templates, procurement guidelines and related materials to deliver successful procurement outcomes for the NSW Government and it's citizens. Key accomplishments include:1. Developed and implemented the NSW Procurement 'Plan, Source, Manage' Approach. Established the first Business Continuity Plan and Operational Risk Register for NSW Procurement which aligns to both departmental and industry (e.g. BCI) principles.3. Designed, built and generated a performance dashboard (balanced scorecard) covering over 60 KPI's and metrics across the NSW Procurement organisation.4. Managed the generation of the consolidated savings reporting for the NSW Government Procurement Benefits Program. This program was an election commitment which delivered $365M over 4 years in incremental savings across nine savings initiatives.5. Ensured the successful transition from legacy ICT systems to Office 365 / Cloud based systems. This required the implementation and user adoption of solutions such as SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, Yammer, Skype etc and the digitisation of manual/paper based legacy processes.6. Project managed of the UX and Creative Design phase of the new Buy.NSW.gov.au website which replaced procurepoint.nsw.gov.au as the single source of NSW Government procurement information receiving over 1 million visits per year. This required the successful management and coordination of external design agencies and internal stakeholder groups, the management of project artefacts, monthly steering committee reporting.

Primary interface between HP business units and the procurement organisation for transactional processing, escalation management, process improvement and new deployments.Led the global operational deployment of a new ARIBA based ERP solution to support the $6.3B of annual spend for HP’s enterprise services business unitDesigned and implemented a near 100% compliant channel compliance strategy to ensure purchases are being transacted through the right procurement tool.

Asia Pacific procurement lead for the integration of Hewlett Packard mergers and acquisitions into the standard HP purchasing environment; notables include EDS, 3Com/Tipping Point, Autonomy, 3PAR and Palm.Configuration lead for the deployment of an Emptoris based contingent labour solution in the complex Japanese and Korean environments. Over 1,100 agency contractors were successfully on-boarded to the solution.Delivered a 68% improvement in purchase order compliance across Australia and New Zealand through a combination of training, process re-engineering, reporting and management escalation.Project managed the off-shoring of 60,000 procurement transactions per annum and associated support functions with no disruption to continuity of service.

Asia Pacific procurement lead to implement a standardised SAP based procurement solution for over 1.5 million per annum purchase orders. Key activities included writing business requirements, technical solution review and user acceptance testingProject lead for the implementation of a web based proprietary ERP solution into China and Taiwan to standardise, automate and digitise the disparate manual processing of 2,000 transactions per annum. Improved purchasing transactional compliance across Australia and New Zealand by 45 points from 50% to 95% through improved systems and processes, education, training and reporting.Developed a management reporting suite which provided the first holistic view of consolidated client spend across all business units.

Procurement lead for a SAP implementation (materials management module) into Malaysia, Singapore and Hong Kong. Key activities included systems configuration management, data migration, communication and training.Project Manager for the implementation of a web based proprietary ERP solution across Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand and Hong Kong to standardise, automate and digitise the disparate manual processing of 14,000 transactions per annum.Reengineered the asset creation and registration process across the Asia Pacific region for new corporate assets through a combination of supplier integration, system enhancements and process improvement resulting in a US$20M reduction in asset write-offs. This project received global recognition and was used a template for a wider distribution. Managed the transition of procurement transactional support functions from local country resources to low cost countries resulting in $260K cost savings.Managed an online catalogue of 750,000 products which delivered a catalogue compliance rate above 80%.
