I have been with the Greensboro Police Department since February 2005. Prior to joining GPD, I served as a law enforcement officer in North Carolina for 10 years working for other North Carolina law enforcement agencies. I took up the challenge of becoming a Community Resource officer in 2010 after transferring from the Western Patrol Division. I Currently have 29 yrs of service.My passion for community-orientated policing has led me to develop an Apartment Watch Program in the Western Division District, bridging the communication gap between law enforcement and management of apartment complex communities.I also started the "Coffee with a Cop" program to Greensboro PD.In 2019 to present, I am assigned to the Electronic Monitoring Unit, monitoring defendants who are on pre-trial release.I work special assignments at the Greensboro Coliseum for concert & other venues including sporting events (Men's & Women's ACC and Greensboro Swarm games.I coordinated police security job details for night club venues in Greensboro.experience in Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED), Courtroom Bailiff, Tactical Patro Officer (Drug Inforcement), Governor security detail (NC State Capitol Building), Bicycle Patrol, Police Recruitment, Gang Investigation, Drug investigations, Community & Apt Watch Programs, coordinate Community Events, Community Crime Prevention training, Traffic crash investigation, Crime investigation, report writing & testifying in court, effect arrest & Traffic citations, electronic monitor violent offenders on pre- trial release, manage offenders to comply with court orders, work with district & Superior Court Judges to obtain orders for arrest for those violating court orders on pre-trial release.I hope to inspire Greensboro residents to continue to seek knowledge and education on crime prevention issues.
