I’m a recent M.Eng. Cyber Security and B.S. Computer Engineering Graduate from Iowa State University with internship and hands-on, team-based engineering project experience. I developed programming skills through projects while employed at Arconic Corporation, and I acquired extensive leadership experience as a Teaching Assistant. Skills in Embedded Systems, C, C++, Java, Python, Linux, and JavaScript. Earned a certification in CompTIA Security+. I’m seeking a full-time position and can be contacted at matson.gregory1@gmail.com.As a Process Control Systems Intern at Arconic, I developed a JavaScript and PHP program that compiled machine operation data into a database, enabling the Manufacturing Leadership Team to make informed long-term business decisions. Additionally, I created an internal website to enhance workflows and security and installed software for 30 security cameras to improve safety. For my Senior Design Project, I worked on a Team of 6 to create a wireless charger that automatically aligns the inner charging coils with the phone to ensure optimal charging. I designed a multidirectional rail system, helped develop and implement a C++ program for motor and platform control using an Arduino, and a scanning process to determine the optimal charging position based on multimeter measurements.While I was a graduate student, I served as a Teaching Assistant for a Senior Design course. I mentored 22 undergraduate teams on their Computer Engineering and Cyber Security projects, guiding them in professional client interactions and report presentations. I also provided instructional support during lectures for ~100 students, graded assignments and presentations, and prepared teams to successfully pass their final project plan reviews. Alongside this, I was responsible and worked hard for my academic achievements during my final year and I’m eager to begin my career in Computer Engineering.
