Work within the ASRC Federal CTO group as a Solutions Architect responsible for developing IT solutions and assisting FedCiv and DoD customers with a wide range of IT services. Experienced with all aspects of service delivery including datacenter, service desk, operations, security, development, and cloud. In addition to solutions architecture activities, currently manage a team of 14 system administrators and architects performing a wide range of datacenter activities including facility, virtualization, storage, backup, and system access control for the ASRC Federal KIAC program. For the Kennedy Space Center Datacenter, team is responsible for working with datacenter tenants to perform inventory control, cabling, and overall facility oversight. System Administrators manage a highly virtualized platform hosting over 270 applications on 350 virtual machines in support of the Infrastructure and Application Services team. The team supports the complete server lifecycle including stand up of new systems, patching and security compliance, backup/restore, monitoring, and problem resolution.

Functioned as a cloud adoption subject matter expert developing end-to-end cloud solutions for federal and state customers based on SAIC’s Cloud Migration Edge methodologies. Primary job responsibilities included directing projects through the established project lifecycle, organizing platform/system engineering resources, and working directly with project managers to successfully complete projects. Worked closely with project management and business analysts to develop technical requirements, project timelines, and complete required project documentation. Coordinated system engineering resources across multiple disciplines and insure quality requirements, designs, and implementations.• Kennedy Space Center, KIAC Program, KDC Operations Manager: Managed staff responsible for datacenter, operations, and specialized services utilized by multiple customers at KSC.• Commonwealth of Virginia, DR Datacenter Relocation, Lead Storage Engineer: Storage and backup SME for migrating 80-rack DR datacenter including multiple EMC storage and backup systems to new colocation facility within a 72 hour window.• GSA, Datacenter Consolidation, Storage and Datacenter Architect: Coordinated with SAIC staff and GSA employees to design and implement multisite consolidation of existing datacenters involving NetApp and EMC storage arrays, hundreds of VMware instances and physical servers, Cisco Nexus switches, and tape backup silos into two core government-owned datacenters. • USDA RMA, Microsoft Azure Cloud Migration, Cloud Engineer: Developed tactical and strategic plans for migrating RMA’s IT environment to Microsoft Azure cloud platform. • SAIC, Internal Datacenter Relocation, Storage Engineering Lead: Architected, designed, and implemented storage and backup solution to relocate the main SAIC datacenter from San Diego, CA to Dallas, TX with minimal end user downtime.

Technical engineer responsible for working with both prospective and current customers in developing complete hardware and software solutions to meet customer goals. Focus on server virtualization, storage consolidation, disaster recovery, and service oriented architecture solutions with products and technologies from IBM, HP, NetApp, VMware, Double-Take, Microsoft, Citrix, and Symantec.

Lead engineer responsible for development of systems from initial architecture phase through go-live and subsequent warranty period. Worked with internal developers and external vendors to integrate new products for world-wide customer base while maintaining adherence to corporate standards and policies. Researched and documented new technologies and systems to provide input to strategic IT forecasting. Provided support for large SAN environment consisting of multiple EMC Clariion arrays and Brocade switches. Managed large VMware ESX/VirtualCenter environment with over 200 virtual machines running on 17 servers.

In charge of the end to end architecture, development, deployment, and support of over 1000 Windows XP PC's and 175 Windows 2000/2003 servers at multiple locations statewide. Utilized technologies such as Microsoft RIS, DFS, Active Directory Group Policy, and ScriptLogic's Desktop Authority to deploy and manage computers. Supervised transition between IBM ESS800 SAN with McData/QLogic switches to new IBM DS8300 SAN with Brocade switches. Managed end to end setup of SAN including zoning, volume provisioning, troubleshooting, and trending. Performed administrative tasks on Windows 2000 Active Directory environment including server setup, user/group creation and setup, organizational unit setup and administration, and AD troubleshooting. Developed various infrastructure tools utilizing Microsoft Visual Studio, Windows Scripting Host, and KiXtart. Developed VMware ESX/VirtualCenter infrastructure for both development and production use.

Worked on enterprise level rollouts of Windows 95, 98, and 2000 images to over 70,000 clients. Work included all aspects of project development including architecture, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance. Completely automated the Windows 9x/2000 install processes for large-scale distribution through VARs. Developed methodology for automated installation and distribution of software using MSI, third party packaging software such as the SMS Installer, and Tivoli. Utilized Microsoft Visual C++, Visual Basic, batch files, and INF files to both aid in the deployment process and develop wide range of custom applications. Evaluated and developed Windows 2000 strategies for legacy applications, group policy, active directory, and domain security. Served as the team leader for the regional AT&T Y2K remediation project.
