From working my way up from the shop floor, to where i am now, helps me appreciate the difficulties and identify the appropriate systems and procedures required to execute particular scopes of work and project requirements, to ensure the work is completed on-time, safely and to budget. kicking off my career with an apprenticeship with Westrail, ensured i had the best possible training. from there i moved in the boat / shipbuilding industry then back in 1992 i moved into the rotable repair and maintenance industry with Madco. After 13 years with Madco i held various management positions within the company, and finally working my way up to the position of workshop manager. After a few years at this position i had the desire to expand my knowledge, so i accepted a contracted position with HWE as a project manger to manage the Alcoa rows pond project. Afer this project i moved onto Alltype Engineering as i wanted to gain experience within the fabrication industry. After 10 years in this industry i have now done a full circle back to the Orontide as the BD manager, now with a strong focus on building up the rotable and fabrication divisions.
