I assist in the identification and development the Science and Technology initiatives from RDEC/ARL related to mitigating the TCM-ABCT capability gaps contained in the TRADOC Capability Needs Analysis and represent TCM-ABCT in the CDID S&T working groups. I contributed to the Maneuver Robotics Autonomous Systems ICD and initial CONOPS for employing robotic ground platforms in the ABCT formation.

I performed duties as a combat development analyst and action officer supporting the MRAP vehicle program in the Mounted Requirements Division of the MCoE CDID . I represented the MRAP section in telecons, VTCs, and conferences supporting the RPG defeat capability which included the RDECOM RPG Active Protection project, the user assessment deployment of CROSSHAIRS on the M-ATV, integration of Iron Curtain on the M-ATV, and RPG Net improvement initiatives. I also served as the lead for the MRAP briefing to the Maneuver-Senior Leader Course which provided an update of the vehicles' capabilities, lessons learned from theater, safety mitigation initiatives, and necessary preparation of units for integrating the MRAP into tactical operations. As part of the dialogue with returning BCT, I designed the study plans and questionnaires, and lead the discussions with vehicle crews and unit leaders relating to the performance and employment of MRAP vehicles in OEF and OIF, and wrote the summary reports. I maintained the MRAP section of the Post Combat Survey conducted by the MCoE CDID Test and Evaluation section to assess performance of the vehicles in current operations and reviewed the surveys to obtain insights and to identify trends in performance in the focus areas of protection, survivability, lethality, sustainability, mobility, maneuverability, suitability and effectiveness. I also assisted articulating user priorities in the JPO MRAP requirements management process. I coordinated briefings as part of the industry day dialogue to assess proposed and emerging technologies presented by both industry and army labs in mitigating MRAP capability gaps/desired capabilities. I reviewed the MRAP portion of the NGIC Anti-Armor Analysis Program to identify protection trends and gaps based on incidents in theater. I also assisted in integrating the MRAP Family of Vehicles in the Sustainment (Transportation) Capability Portfolio Review (CPR) to the VCSA.

I provided oversight in the shoulder-launched munitions (SLM), close combat missile systems, and Soldier munitions capability areas as a combat developer/team lead in Firepower Division, Directorate of Combat Developments, United States Army Infantry Center. I served as the lead action officer for the SLM strategy analysis effort which included a separate DOTMLPF assessment and a CBA in support of the current, interim and future SLM capability strategy. I assisted developing the SLM strategy AROC briefing packet and the requirement to educate units deployed and about to deploy on the capabilities and availability of the M141 Bunker Defeat Munition (BDM) and M72A7 Lightweight Anti-armor Weapon (LAW). I led the development of the AT4CS and BDM Capability Production Documents (CPDs) and had oversight and assisted preparation of the Individual Assault Munition (AM) Capability Development Document (CDD), the M72 LAW CPD, and led the development of the Critical Operational Issues and Criteria for the AT4CS Tandem Warhead Foreign Comparative Test program and for the evaluation of USASOC AT4CS Operational Test results supporting Urgent Material Release. I served as the primary action officer for the IBCT and SBCT Close Combat Lethality Line-of-Sight CBA and the development of the follow-on Initial Capabilities Document (ICD). I represented MCoE at the Standardized MOUT Target and Testing Board and authored a BCT Urban Lethality white paper which highlighted the need to identify urban structures in the current and future operational environment. I initiated the development and conduct of an in-house CBA to support the modernization of Soldier munitions - the family of hand grenades, claymore mine, and pyrotechnic signals and simulators. I also managed and coordinated the routine organization tasks, post combat surveys, and efforts in support of annual Industry Day, Lab Day, Project Manager Home-and-Home meetings, and Warfighter Conferences.
