Contributing to M365 Backup and Archiving teams.- Built UX screens and supporting back-end APIs, enabling customers to move their inactive content (SharePoint Sites) to the cost-efficient archive tier and reactivating back to active tier as part of Microsoft 365 Archive.- Enabled over 600 enterprise customers to archive more than one petabyte (1PB) of content within the first year of the product’s release, driving significant storage savings.- Engineered a custom SPList (SharePoint List) for storing archived sites, resolving the view threshold issue. ∗ Improved search functionality, enabling the search of up to 50k sites compared to previous limit of 5000 sites. ∗ Enhanced filtering and sorting based on archive metadata properties, particularly benefiting customers managing over one million (1M) sites. ∗ SPList is an in-house business object persisted in a SQL table by leveraging sparse column set and cached at a read-optimized storage infrastructure in SharePoint.- Designed and implemented a CAML (XML-based markup language) query solution that extends existing query operators by adding support for bitwise operators on integer fields within the SPList schema, overcoming a previously unsupported feature by making use of bit-manipulation algorithm.- Wrote an on-demand cron job in a distributed system for processing and restoring up to 10k artifacts across Microsoft 365 services such as SharePoint, Exchange, and OneDrive, ensuring data recovery in case of accidental deletion, ransomware or malware attacks, and other data loss scenarios.- Implemented batching to overcome provider-side limitation of 1,000 units per request and the infrastructure constraint of short cron job expiry duration.

Contributed to SharePoint Admin Center (Tenant Admin platform) team.- Delivered the major version upgrade of Fluent-UI library, transitioning SharePoint Admin Center from v7 to v8. The migration achieved a 99.9% success rate, with just one minor hiccup swiftly addressed.- Executed the upgrade in an incremental fashion to minimize disruptions, allowing enough time for thorough testing of accessibility, cross-browser styling, theming issues, and facilitating partner teams to validate their respective features.- Updated older components by either removing or re-writing them to align with the latest Fluent UI theme consumption methods, addressing breaking changes in the ThemeProvider during the v8 release.

Worked in M365 Backup (Enhanced Restore) team.- Worked on a proof of concept for estimating completion time (ETC) of restore jobs using Machine Learning.- Managed the entire ML model lifecycle, from problem understanding to model training, testing, and deployment process. Primarily utilized Python for these tasks.
