Disciplined. Adaptable. Reliable. Invested.Covid-19 Update:We all have a choice, and I made the decision to focus on how to use my time effectively in order to have a positive impact on those around me, while also learning about what is important to me. One way of doing so has been to enroll in a number of online courses that are relevant to all aspects of the aviation industry. After all, being a pilot is about more than just flying aircraft!By broadening my knowledge and skillsets, and discovering new interests, I am confident that I will bring more to your company not just as a pilot, but as a person.SACAA ME CPL/IF (A) ~ Grade II Instructors Rating ~ ATPL Exams passed ~ 3600hrs TT ~ 1800hrs turbopropRated on: B190, C208B (instructor), PC-12, KODI100From achieving her PPL in 2009 at age 17, and her CPL (2011) and Grade III Instructors Rating (2012), Heather’s flying career began in 2013, and has seen her progress from circuits and General Flying Area’s, to transporting hundreds of tourists and thousands of kilograms of cargo throughout the Okavango Delta. Her love of teaching and attention to detail saw her climb the ladder from Line Pilot to Training Captain across the fleet. From 2018, she returned to the Western Cape, where she worked as a Captain on the PC-12NG, conducting aeromedical flights within South Africa. Her she gained valuable experience in time management, risk mitigation, multi-crew operations and instrument flying. These skills stood her in good stead for her role as a Captain on the C208B, based in the Eastern Cape, where she dealt with all aspects of tourism and charter operations from September 2019 to May 2020. Heather has a healthy sense of adventure, good communication skills, and displays enthusiasm and passion in all she does. She has the ability to remain calm in most situations, and works well both alone and as a team player. Heather enjoys taking on a variety of challenges, from 100km bicycle races, to summiting mountains, to completing marathons, which shows her discipline towards hard work, and proves the value of both physical and mental strength and agility.
