The Sports Union is responsible for the delivery of the University of Edinburgh’s competitive and recreational sport programmes via our 67 member clubs and 180+ Intramural teams. We have over 8000 participants and consistently finish in the top 5 in BUCS. Specific responsibilities as President included internal and external advocacy and engagement, Sports Union and club development, financial planning and oversight (of a budget of ~£1m), governance including chair of the Executive Committee, line management of the Accounts Manager, and support with events, widening participation, and other Sports Union initiatives. No two days were the same! The role of Sports Union President was a full-time position, elected by the student body in a University-wide election.

Responsible for supporting clubs in obtaining sponsorship and developing partnerships, along with managing alumni relationships and fundraising. Member of Sports Union Executive Committee and Sports Union trustee.
