As well as recently becoming an Author ("Letters to Dead People", www.letterstodeadpeople.com), for most of my career I have provided the leadership to bring breakthrough technologies and products to market. I have founded numerous start-up companies as well as directed groups in large multi-national organizations, always operating at senior management levels. I believe in bringing the business and technology groups of a company together, in order to achieve the near-impossible. Immersive 3D VR chat rooms 25 years before Facebook Meta, horizontally scaleable distributed infrastructure 10 years before cloud, the Queen’s Award for Technology and the Queen’s Award for Export, are just some of the things the companies I have founded have achieved. I have specific expertise in Artificial Intelligence (AI), cloud and distributed technologies, augmented/virtual reality, enterprise s/w, financial systems, genetics and cellular simulations - although am able to go as broad or as deep as is required in a number of other areas.
