Helped pitch and execute multiple non-profit fundraising events for UNC's Operation Smile, including their annual Songs for Smiles event and the premiere 'Big Dog on Campus' event. Responsibilities included booking local talent for events as well as coordinating with various Greek life organizations on-campus. Other responsibilities in the club included helping to coordinate meetings and our seasonal Spring retreat. I also trained an interim-assistant position while I was unable to fulfill my duties while abroad.Operation Smile is an international non-profit headquartered out of Virginia Beach & started by Bill and Kathy McGee that facilitates various service projects to provide healthcare to children with a cleft lip or palate & resources student groups to initiate similar projects. OpSmile's service initiatives can range from local fundraisers to mission trips dedicated to developing healthcare in 18 countries globally. Among their 27 care centers worldwide, they provide free services including dentistry, orthodontics, speech therapy, nutritional counseling, psychosocial care, and cleft and orthognathic surgeries.My third year at UNC I fulfilled the role of social chair, hosting and planning our Grill 'n Chill.

Reporters are required to find sources, and often communicate with local officials and business owners in Chapel Hill and Orange County.

Worked in publicizing and media for ISA, the Insitute that specializes in the Latin American Studies major. Helped with production of a monthly newsletter, and in-class promotion for the major, as well as other projects while at the Institute. The largest task the work-study team was delegated this past semester was grant approval preparation, which required analytic & Excel experience from all members.

My senior leadership at NCSSM was being an on-campus resource for my residence hall during my second year at the school. Given that my leadership fell during the school year after COVID was discerned a global pandemic, I had the privilege of a mostly on-campus senior year. My responsibilities included upholding COVID-19 safety precautions, harboring a welcoming hall community, coordinating hall events, and overseeing hall maintenance during our nightly housekeeping. RLAs were also tasked with conceptualizing a hall theme and executing the decor strewn throughout the residence hall.
