I have 22 years of operating experience at Intel, most recently as VP and GM of the Education and Public Sector business. I know what it takes to grow a business and achieve outstanding results. I have experience leading global initiatives, forming new teams and businesses, managing to a P&L, developing strategic partnerships and leading corporate strategic discussions. In addition, I sat on the board of a private company, ran an ed-tech accelerator for startups with the partnership of Intel Capital and was a member of the UN Broadband Commission. I have deep marketing experience, including channel marketing, market research and partner marketing.I have over 30 years of experience helping individuals and teams achieve their aspirational goals as a strategist, executive coach, and advisor. I have worked with CEO's and their executive teams to achieve the highest levels of performance. I specialize in identifying strategic, inter-personal, and team challenges and designing lasting solutions to improve performance, engagement and results. I consider myself insightful and observant, even when it leads to uncomfortable conversations. And like a mountain guide, I lead my clients from behind. My clients appreciate my holistic approach to coaching, focusing on the personal, the professional and client as self. And they value what they have described as my signature blend of warmth and courage, and the deep curiosity and empathy I consistently bring to my coaching conversations.In the public sector role, I worked with governments and partners to develop a vision for transformation of education and government. My ability to recognize and capitalize on strategic opportunities, taking calculated risks while enlisting stakeholders contributed to the team’s successful gains in share and revenue. After my corporate career, I have focused on coaching and team development. I have coached executives and senior leaders at Fortune 100 companies, hyper-growth and later stage start-ups from an array of industries and functions, including C-Suite and other senior leaders. I have a Bachelor of Arts from Cal State Long Beach in Comparative Literature. I enjoy hiking and for a time climbed mountains, summiting three of the highest continental peaks. I divide my time between the Bay area and the Tahoe area, with my wife Deborah and our two Australian Shepherds. We have two sons who also live in the Bay area.
