I combine a love of solving technical challenges and taming chaos with growing diverse technical leadership teams and building products that improve people’s lives. As an experienced senior tech and product executive, I bring 20+ years’ experience leading hands-on software development, hardware engineering, and product teams, providing CTO and CIO operational leadership in industry and government, advising businesses and boards, designing and executing on high-quality consumer, enterprise, and accessibility products, developing new technologies (33+ patents), and evolving business and engineering processes. I am data-driven with a bias for action, and I lead my teams with deep empathy, creating and supporting team cultures that start with listening, understanding, and having empathy for customers’ needs to achieve exemplary collaborative business results. As a result, I have successfully and repeatedly guided my teams through challenging 1st gen & multi-generation product development lifecycles, and tackled complex multidisciplinary problems in startups and at scale by breaking them into deliverable subsystems and understanding architectural and organization connecting opportunities that grow and scale my teams’ technical and leadership capabilities to build successful consumer products and enterprise solutions. I am a lifelong learner, educator, and passionate advocate for diversity and equality, and I live my values by sponsoring women and underrepresented minorities, providing them access to tech-focused education and career coaching. I actively volunteer in my communities (advocacy, policy, and product work for those with disabilities, guest lecturing on innovation, product dev, and STEM careers for girls and women at K-12 schools and universities, and I lead women’s mentoring circles for healthy balanced career development. I served as an EMT + Volunteer Firefighter during the COVID pandemic, taught computer science to high school students, and I’m a community advocate and activist for human rights, women's rights, environmental conservation, and education. I am happiest when I’m using my superpowers for good by connecting people with growth and learning opportunities and developing technologies that serve to strengthen our global communities.
