Working for a non-profit is essential for many reasons. First, I cherish knowing that what I do with my time is meaningful and contributes to helping the world in a positive way. Secondly, working for a non-profit is gratifying because I am able to provide assistance in a purposeful way. In regards to being a strong candidate, I work well independently and I am a self starter. I am good at associating, which means that I am adept at taking ideas and systems from one industry or discipline and applying them to my current work. I am willing to experiment and try new things and I am good at noticing what isn't working and then suggest better options. Aside from the “tasks” at hand, which I can manage and thrive off, I love to make things easier and streamlined for a quicker, and correct, result.
