Responsibilities include:- Release Planning: Liaise with product stakeholders for release planning and alignment, product localization planning and scheduling of product deliverables.- Direct Report: As part of my leadership training, I’ve also become the direct report for any internships on our team. This involves conducting 1-2-1’s, discussing performance and setting goals with each intern as well as being their go to person for any managerial questions, situations or issues. - Project Build and Operations: Create, maintain and enforce project and code-line workflows. Create and maintain development and testing infrastructure.- Code Quality: Conduct code reviews across the project’s codebases, enforce project best practices (such as Test-Driven Development), conduct security auditing across the project and generally strive to continuously improve product quality.

Responsibilities include:- Facilitate and moderate numerous Scrum focused meetings including: Daily Scrum/Stand-up, Sprint Planning, Sprint Retrospective, etc.- Sit as a reprehensive in between the development team and the product owner, development manager and associated stakeholders.- Address team disruptions and obstacles in order to maintain focus on planned work and deliverables. This includes insulating the team from product stakeholders as much as possible and establishing an environment where the team can be effective.

Software developer within the BICS team. BICS (Business Intelligence Consumer Services), is a data access and unification API library which allows SAP Analytical frontend software to access different SAP backend data sources and perform the same OLAP and analytical API functions irrespective of the differences between the data structures and analytical capabilities offered by the underlying data source.Responsibilities include:- Feature Development: Cross location work on numerous BICS features and topics, including Table Design – a semantically aware runtime enrichment layer which sits on top of the data returned by the BICS API.- Customer/Incident Resolution: Complete E2E investigation of customer and development issues/bugs from frontend SAP clients through the BICS layer and down into the SAP backend - Operations Lead: The projects large codebase of ever-growing integration tests required a lot of manual effort in order to stable builds and continuous integration. My primary focus was stream lining and automating as much of this as possible.

Responsibilities include:- Analysis of high severity customer support tickets, investigation and diagnosis of customer queries with minimal turnaround periods and to a very high standard.- Prioritisation of customer issues based on severity while liaising with product development to ensure the timely resolution and delivery of fixes to the customer.- Creation, configuration and automation of sample virtual customer environments based on required scenarios and configurations.- Relationship management as a Designated Support Engineer for select customers.- Upgrading and validation of customer custom codebases for customers moving between major software versions.Initiatives undertaken:Development of numerous automation scripts & utilities to automate various manual processes. This resulted streamlining application builds for the Support team while freeing up time for engineers to work on other issues. Creation of numerous technical documents for both external end users and for internal reference.
