BICS (Business Intelligence Consumer Services), is a data access and unification API library which allows SAP Analytical frontend software to access different SAP backend data sources and perform the same OLAP and analytical API functions irrespective of the differences between the data structures and analytical capabilities offered by the underlying data source.Responsibilities include:- Feature Development: Cross location work on numerous BICS features and topics, including Table Design – a semantically aware runtime enrichment layer which sits on top of the data returned by the BICS API.- Customer/Incident Resolution: Complete E2E investigation of customer and development issues/bugs from frontend SAP clients through the BICS layer and down into the SAP backend - Operations Lead: The projects large codebase of ever-growing integration tests required a lot of manual effort in order to stable builds and continuous integration. My primary focus was stream lining and automating as much of this as possible.
