Experience in clinical research and practice in training development of staff, across home-based services, as well as contracting to develop Behavior Analytic trainings for the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services, and psychiatric hospitals across the state of Michigan. This was the first instance of a state department contracting for behavioral services and training.Clinical specialization in development of programming to increase functional communication and build tolerance as a means to reduce severe aggression, self-injury, and suicidal ideation (by increasing self-advocacy skills). Experience with Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and ongoing training in Practical Functional Assessment and Skill-Based Training (PFA-SBT), as well as continued research in gender and sexuality-affirming care and treatment. Trauma-informed focus of practice, with a focus on acknowledgement of learning histories and experiences, as part of ongoing and future program development.Experience in training and supervision for groups ranging from 1 employee to 30 individuals, as well as assistance in creating of training materials for national implementation across hundreds of staff in different states.Continued education and understanding on intersectionality in practice, and development of socially-relevant practice in working with multi-cultural and intersectional groups.
