I have worked with children in some capacity for almost 30 years. I started out doing summer programs when I was a teenager. Then, worked as a substitute teacher out of college, taught special education for three years, and have been joyfully working in various after-school programs ever since. I, also, have been involved with music for over twenty years - singing and playing guitar/drums in various local bands (Hathaway, Dead Air, Red Meets Green and currently, Common Center). Almost ten years ago, I was able to take these two passions of mine and fuse them together - working in many various ways with kids and music at the same time!! I founded Skool Aid, in May of 2011 in order to continue doing after-school programs, summer programs, and incentive programs. Everyday, I feel very fortunate to be able to do something that I enjoy while positively influencing the lives of children and spreading my enormous love for music and fun. With Skool Aid, I hope to give other passionate individuals the same opportunity, by empowering to be the best educator they can be so that children can be positively influenced and motivated by their love for what they do. In October 2018, I founded NKY Tees. This fuses together other passions of mine - art, clothing, and Northern Kentucky. We hope to celebrate NKY's awesomeness on a t-shirt!! We are super excited about all the possibilities.Specialties: Music-based after-school programs; fitness-based after-school programs; behavior management; organizing activities for children as well as friends; singing; guitar; hand drums; and the surprising ability to succeed in some of the most random games of the world (including, but not limited to: fuse ball, ping-pong, board games, bocce ball, croquet, and especially... wiffleball)
