Subsea Consultant
Consultant for Trett Consulting preparing and reviewing outstanding claims for the Chevron Blind Faith (Semi-submersible floating production facility) Project. Transport and Installation contract. Trett’s claim scope included the installation of mooring lines and riser lift/connection (export flooding). Assisted in contract review, review of logs, DPRs, document discovery, quantum analysis, engineering cost investigation within their SAP system, preparation of claims for extension of time, acceleration, disruption, prolongation, review and identification of discrepancies within various disputed change orders for additional work, and any other changes, along with final claims submission, claims value exceeding 45 million USD.
Subsea Integrity Management Lead
Contracted to DTC for BP Gulf of Mexico implementation of a risk based subsea integrity management program to extend and augment the existing riser integrity program, from the wellheads through to the risers and to include the umbilicals. The scope included existing assets Pompano, Marlin, King and Na Kika through to the new field development assets Atlantis and Thunderhorse. Project lead responsible for the management of a team of three engineers and a technical advisor. Along with assisting in the preparation the above assets deliverables, was also solely responsible for the deliverables of an additional single well tie-back. Deliverables included preparation of a design, fabrication and installation dossier for each asset, implementation of a risk based inspection program, preparation of detailed inspection procedures for asset inspection readiness and baseline surveys of the subsea assets. Performed offshore baseline surveys looking for anomalies and potential leak paths within the subsea equipment including, trees, control modules, subsea chokes, flying leads, well jumpers and connector systems, umbilicals, umbilical hang off on floaters, TUTA, riser hang offs and stress joints, manifolds and valves. Following the offshore surveys, review of the videos, issuing of inspection reports including any anomalies. Anomalies tracked and followed through to closure. Issued annual reports including assessments of system status. Other responsibilities included the preparation of a Hurricane readiness program and subsea equipment tagging and implementation into Maximo, BP’s asset management tracking system.
