I am an attorney who lives and works in Washington, DC. I graduated from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, Cum laude, with a BS in Economics, and received a Juris Doctor from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law. I began my legal career in 1978 at the Securities and Exchange Commission in the Division of Enforcement. During my legal career, I worked at the law firms of Epstein, Becker and Green, Baker and Hostetler, Patton Boggs and Manatt Phelps. Currently, I am a Senior Advisor with the Robert Bobb Group. The Robert Bobb Group is a minority-owned national consulting firm specializing in public and private sector consulting and advisory services.I served on the Council of the District of Columbia representing Ward 2 for almost 30 years, chaired the Committee on Finance and Revenue for 20 years and from 2001-2009, I served as the Chair Pro Tempore (Vice Chair). Also, I was the longest serving Councilmember in history.I was born in Nanticoke, Pennsylvania and have three children (the triplets).
