What in the world is Chemical Grout??? Let's start with breaking down the term 'grout' in general... Take a moment to think of every grout you're familiar with or know of. Ok, now what do they all share in common? No serious, stop reading for a brief moment and brainstorm. 🤔🤔🤔Each likely has its own characteristics, advantages, or overall objective but each has one thing in common. They all fill a void! Whether that be the void between pieces of tile, a CMU core, or the annulus around an anchor. Chemical Grout is no different but fills voids in soils, damaged or cracked structures or rock, joints of various nature, and open voids of all types. By filling these voids we can solidify and densify soils to increase bearing capacity, eliminate erosion, lift structures, and control water. With that said, there are many different types and variations of chemical grouts and each is specifically designed to achieve a specific goal. Whether that be stopping Inflow, infiltration, and soils from entering into our sewer systems, stabilizing subsiding soils beneath a roadway or neighboring buildings, void filling required due to sinkholes or erosion, creating ditch checks, lifting concrete, containing hazardous waste, ground water mitigation, seepage management, and the list goes on and on.
