I concentrate my law practice on the representation of U.S. and internationally-based corporations, financial institutions, manufacturers, franchisors, franchisees and family offices in general business, aviation, maritime and other transactions. I am a past Chair and current Director of L2B Aviation, named by Chambers as the Top Ranked global aviation lawyer referral network, and an Advisory Board Member of The Hague Court of Arbitration for Aviation. I was named the 2019 Lawyer of the Americas by the Inter-American Law Review of the University of Miami School of Law. I am Immediate Past Chair of the International Law Section of the Florida Bar. I am Chair of the The Florida Bar Grievance Committee “G.” I am a Member of the Advisory Group of the Tax Committee of the National Business Aviation Association. I am a Member of the Citizens Board of the University of Miami and have served as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Miami School of Law, teaching International Secured Finance, and as a member of the Steering Committee for International Law Studies at Florida International University College of Law. I have been named in Best Lawyers in the US by US News and World Reports, and to the International Who’s Who of Business Lawyers, as well as Florida’s Who’s Who and to the World’s Leading Aviation Lawyers, and described by Latin Lawyer as one of the "leading Miami-based Latin America focused practitioners,” and repeatedly named as a Legal Elite by Florida Trend, as a Florida Super Lawyer by Law & Politics and as a Top Lawyer in the South Florida Legal Guide. I am a Director of Ayiti Community Trust (supporting grass roots organizations in Haiti) and of Ayudame A Vivir Foundation Inc. (supporting pediatric cancer patients in Guatemala) and of the X Family Foundation, supporting Fragile X Families in Miami and I previously served with Dwyane Wade's Wade's World Foundation. I am a member of the Council of the Americas and Inter-American Dialogue. I received my B.A., magna cum laude, from Arizona State University, Phi Beta Kappa, and my J.D., cum laude, from the University of Miami School of Law (Articles and Comments Editor of the Law Review). I am fluent in Spanish.
