EPS Group is a complete end to end solutions provider in the water sector. EPS Group provide services including design and build of water treatment plants, waste water treatment plants, pump stations, network pipelines, chemical dosing systems and all additional infrastructure required in the water industry. As project engineer I am currently assigned to the “Skibbereen Regional Water Supply Scheme” upgrade. This €28 million project consists of the upgrading of both Ballyhilty and Lake Cross Water Treatment Plants (WTPs) and the construction of new water mains, pumping stations, reservoirs and disinfection facilities across the scheme. I am the lead project engineer responsible for all aspects of the water treatment plants upgrade. My responsibilities include;• Manage process and civil design consultants Mott MacDonald.• Design and generate water treatment plant P&ID’s using autocad P&ID• Develop site layout design, plant layout and equipment layouts and access• Review planning requirements and design specifications• Generate Equipment list, instrument list, in line asset list and storage equipment list.• Generate equipment and instrument datasheets• Generate HAZOP procedure and manage HAZOP completion• Generate control philosophy and alarm lists• Complete line sizing, pump sizing, hydraulic profile & weir calculations• Complete equipment and instrument selection assessment• Manage 3D BIM model design reviews• Procure all process equipment required for the project including precast concrete storage tanks, pumps, mixers, rapid gravity filters, clarifier internals, pipework, valves, instruments, access platforms, chemical storage tanks, back up generators, dewatering system, compressors and all miscellaneous items• Manage the electrical design and electrical power upgrade• Procure Electrical MCC’s, VSD’s and electrical switch gear panels• Complete design of all underground ducting and services• Manage building services design and installation

SCFI are a startup company specialising in the treatment of liquid waste streams focusing on super critical water oxidation processes. SCFI are working on several concept designs and completing FEED studies for a number of processing plants. I was engaged by SCFI to assist with the mechanical design and provide input with regards to the manufacturability and cost implications of various design options. SCFI are working on process streams operating in the 250 BarG and 500 DegC pressure and temperature regions with exotic materials of construction. My responsibilities included,• Liaise and advise process design including regulatory requirements and international standards adoption (Pressure Equipment Directive, Machinery Directive, API, ASME, TEMA, EN, ISO).• Provide equipment sizing calculations and preliminary stress analysis checks.• Provide material of construction analysis and recommendations.• Develop equipment data sheets.• Develop Piping spec data sheets, valve specifications and company specifications.• Provide project budget costing estimates.• Manage subcontracted mechanical design scopes of work.• Participate in HAZOP studies

I was engaged by Fleury Engineering to ensure the mechanical design, manufacture and installation of pressure piping for a spent caustic pilot processing plant were completed in compliance with International and European legislative requirements.My responsibilities included,• Liaise and advise Fleury Engineering’s client with regards to the Machinery Directive, Pressure Equipment Directive and ASME B31.3 Standard.• Asses European Directive requirements.• Asses pipework systems to the PED classifications.• Complete design risk assessments in accordance with EN ISO 12100 & EN ISO 13849-1• Complete mechanical design verification checks for the proposed pipework systems in compliance with ASME B31.3.• Generate Piping Spec Data sheets for different line specs.• Review isometrics with regards to the completed Piping Spec Data Sheets.• Generate Piping Fabrication and Installation Standard Specification• Generate Inspection and Test Plans and associated record forms• Generate and qualify welding procedures and welder performance qualifications • Generate scopes of work for subcontracting of pipework fabrication• Project Manage in house and subcontracted pipework fabrication• Compile manufacturing data report (MDR)• Compile PED technical dossier and ensure essential safety requirements have been satisfied.• Increased workshop manufacturing efficiency through implementation of more efficient welding processes and semi-automatic equipment

My role at IIM (Industrial Installation and Maintenance) involved receiving client enquiries, evaluating these enquiries and producing a quotation for the client. If selected as the desired vendor I would liaise with the client to define the entire scope of works to be completed, schedule for these works and manage all aspects of the project including any special requirements from initial tender inquiry to project completion. My responsibilities included,• Cost evaluation of client project enquiries through review of initial drawings, specifications, standards, scope of works and site visit. Drafting and submitting of a quotation letter and control and evaluation of possible variations thereafter. • Complete multidisciplinary project management from receipt of enquiry through to delivery of fabricated goods and documentation to the client.
