I am a transformational leader, strategist and innovator with executive and governance experience in senior positions in both the public and private sector, working hard to make the system and organisations work better for everyone. I have had more than 15 years’ experience in a diverse range of senior executive, transformation programme, operations, board director and trustee roles leading and advising on change. As a leader in Aotearoa NZ’s payments industry, I am an expert on international and local payments ecosystems and networks. As chief strategist and general manager heading up a portfolio of business areas at Payments NZ, I help empower Aotearoa NZ’s payments future. I help lead the collaborative cross industry efforts at the intersection of strategy and innovation developments across the payments network including innovations in open data and open banking, next generation payments systems and emerging technologies. I am connected at senior levels of business and government, advising leaders on the strategic landscape including regulatory developments, systems, and technologies to allow people and businesses to navigate the future of payments. I enjoy speaking at events, facilitating industry forums, and connecting colleagues to ensure Aotearoa has a world class payments system.I am privileged to have a bicultural Māori and Pākehā heritage, seeing the world through a te ao Māori lens, challenging thinking towards intergenerational and sustainable outcomes, with all this shaping my passion for innovation and big picture thinking. An advocate for Māori and women in business, I founded The Link – Connecting Women in Payments Network on behalf of Payments NZ, and I am a huge advocate for supporting Māori in tech and financial services. I most enjoy getting out with my whānau on the Hauraki Gulf Tīkapa Moana, boating, fishing, diving, and surfing (still trying).
