I was part of the 65th Expedition to Marion Island where i assisted in collecting data and monitoring all marine birds and penguins. I was on Marion Island for 13 Months

Running of the center which involved:- Supervising all Rehabilitation of Penguins and Marine Birds- Ordering of medical supplies- Reporting to the Veterinarian- General assistance where needed- Assisting with tours- Coordinating all rescues of stranded animals

Running of the animal shelter,and managing 22 staff.

Assisted with the well being of over 1500 parrots- Feeding and monitoring behavior.

Recognizing how desperate they were for this experience, I invited anyone who wanted to learn about aquatic bird rehabilitation to visit one of our California rehabilitation facilities.Immersing yourself in a rehabilitation setting is the only way you can learn these skills and get a sense of what is needed to do this type of work. Thus, our International Internship Program was born simply because there was a need for it. Since its official inception in 2000, we have had over 75 interns representing 14 countries. They are now part of our international response team, and many of them stay in touch with us and respond to oil spills and other emergencies with us when needed.Jared Harding of South Africa is one of our past interns who took his internship experience and went on to help penguins and other wild animals in his country. I was an outdoor specialist on a Summer Camp in West Virginia: The duties included:- Leading over night expeditions into the surrounding forests- Maintaining cabin behavior- General Assistance where needed....- Attending the various activities with the children under my care such as: canoeing, sailing, Roller skating and a lot more activities...

This is where i went to scouts and where i obtained the highest award in scouting- the sprinkbok award...

Rehabilitation of penguins and marine birds, turtles and dolphins. Feeding of penguins, resident dolphins and all animals on site. Assisting with medical training and assisting with general assistance where needed.
