During this time transformed the team into one of the highest performing teams within ESMO by overhauling the team culture, processes, and methodologies. Utilized many aspects of the Toyota Production System (TPS), DevOps, and Agile to eliminate organizational deadlock, reduce dependencies, and implement fast feedback into the team’s work. This allowed for the completion of large projects such as the implementation of the PACE ground system for launch; SAN and hypervisor hardware refresh and migration; completion of an internal OS modernization initiative; and configuration management software and process overhaul. Advocated for and made recommendations for similar changes across the ESMO organization as a whole. Also responsible for common managerial tasks: interviews, hiring, tasking, interfacing with the government customer, procurement, budgeting, performance reviews, etc.

Determine if any new issues arise with the build and work with the software developers to troubleshoot, track, and fix problems. - Work with developers to improve the functionality of operational software and prioritize features for new builds.-Coordinate with system admins to deploy new software to operational environments while minimizing the impact on operations.-Manage online flight engineers in training. Ensure that the trainees are making progress and help coordinate training sessions with subsystem engineers. Evaluate trainees knowledge and certify for flight operations.-Create training material and documentation for ground system and operations. Train online and subsystem engineers how to use new software and tools. -Create check tools for use by the online engineers in daily operations. These tools are used to check spacecraft loads for any errors or irregularities.-Coordinate the upgrade of ground station software and hardware at the different stations used by the Aqua, Aura, and Terra spacecraft. Test and certify new servers for operational use. -Act as the FOT database admin for spacecraft and ground commanding and telemetry. Help members of the FOT create new commands, change commands, create telemetry points, and change telemetry limits. Test and deploy new builds of the database to operations.
