Current Role--------------I am currently a Discover Analyst at the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond, working with National IT. I earned this position after working as an intern here for one year. This position allows me to rotate between several tech teams to meet different people and learn different skills and workflows. I enjoy working here because the people are very friendly and helpful, the work is engaging, and the Fed values professional development of its employees. Computer Science Experience---------------------------------I have learned a variety of programming languages and techniques during school. Please refer to my resume for the list. Some notable projects I developed are a VCU VR training tool to help teach rising electrical engineers, several command line interface programs, multi-threaded and multi-process programs, software that interfaces with the internet to pull data, a website with database backend, and one of my favorites is a pool game with graphics, sound, and physics.Academics------------I am an alumnus of Virginia Commonwealth University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science with a concentration in software development, class of 2023. Before VCU, I graduated from J Sargeant Reynolds Community College, earning my Associate of Science Degree. Notable achievements include Dean's List and President's Honor Roll for many semesters, membership in four Greek letter organizations, and I graduated summa cum laude with a 4.0 cumulative GPA from both colleges.Electrical Background-----------------------I enrolled in a five year electrical apprenticeship through the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Union, Local 1340. I graduated and earned my Journeyman's Electrical License and worked in the trade for over ten years.
