As a Saturday dayside reporter for KOMU 8 News, I’ve covered a large range of topics from community events to tragic local deaths. My position requires me to pitch original story ideas, shoot my own video, interview sources, write my web story using BLOX CMS, edit my raw video through Adobe Premiere Pro, write my scripts into the show rundown on Ross Inception, and report live in-studio or out on location. After my hits, I utilize BLOX VMS and Blackbird to cut my segment from the show and add it to my web story. I look forward to continuously improving upon my work and reporting on impactful stories.

As an Associate Producer on Wednesdays for the 10 pm show, I’ve been aiding the show’s progression in any way that I can. I write anchor reads, VO/SOTS, and teases for the show. I also find sound bites to use in cold opens, communicate with the on-set talent, manage timing of the show, and help with last-minute writing while already in the booth.

At Fox 5 DC, I had the pleasure of shadowing reporters and filming my own practice live standups, engaging in anchor practice to improve my on camera performance, and learning how to properly write for television.I also pitched and wrote stories that made it to air and timed out some segments from the producer booth, along with writing articles for the Fox 5 website.In addition, I had the ability to work with some incredibly influential people such as Gordon Ramsay, Colman Domingo, Kevin McCarthy and more!
