I am a partner in our National Tax Partnership Transactions Group, where I advise clients on all types of US partnership tax issues, with a focus on complex partnership transactions. I have worked with clients throughout the life cycle of their business, from formation (e.g., investment structuring, partnership agreement review) to operations (e.g., allocations, capital account maintenance, tax compliance and reporting) to monetization (e.g., sale of business, IPO).I have advised many clients through the initial public offering process, with a particular emphasis on helping companies go public using the UP-C structure and advising them on tax receivable agreements (TRAs).Previously, I founded and led EY's tax modeling practice in Mexico, where we helped clients analyze the Mexican tax effects of potential investments in Mexico. I have presented for the New York University Institute on Federal Taxation, the USC Gould School of Law Tax Institute, the Tax Executives Institute Houston Chapter Annual Tax School, Strafford Webinars, and numerous EY internal trainings. I have also authored presentations for the National Institute of Tax Professionals, the NYU School of Continuing & Professional Studies, and the Practicing Law Institute, and have written for The Oklahoma MLP Quarterly and Real Estate Taxation.
