Senior Directory of Technology responsible for managing the Enterprise Infrastructure for both on-premise and Cloud based applications, DevOps engineers responsible for automated deployments and the Security Operations team. I also have responsibility for the Enterprise Disaster Recovery program which support our core financial services and State Enterprise locations.

Reporting to the Vice President of Technology, my team develops and operates the Core Payment services. I also led the teams supporting the Prescription Drug Monitoring and Corporate Finance solutions and services for NIC. These teams are comprised of 60 associates who are responsible for the full lifecycle of those products and is comprised of 6 managers who are split between Java and .Net application development. Each team is comprised of Business Analysts, Developers, Quality Assurance Analysts, Product Support and Site Reliability Engineers who are responsible for the deployment of servers and automated pipeline builds. Our services are split between premised based data centers and Azure.

Responsible for the shared infrastructure and technical teams supporting NIC's approximate 3500 federal, state and local government partners. This infrastructure includes VCE, Cisco, EMC, Windows Server, Linux, Unix, Storage, Database and Content Management platforms. Responsible for the Disaster Recovery program supporting our hosted Financial services.

Reporting to the Chief Technology Officer, I manage or have managed the infrastructure at UMB Bank, inclusive of Servers (Mainframe, Unix, Linux and Windows), Storage, Network, Security, Desktop, Service Desk, Backup/Archive, Middleware, Tools and Data Center facilities. In addition to those teams, I also manage the Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity roles and have had experience managing a Capacity Manager position who is responsible for project, maintenance and contingency resource planning to meet the needs of the department. My team comprised of 65 associates is inclusive of 7 managers of various levels and experience with budgetary planning and oversight for those departments I manage. My team provides the infrastructure support for all in-house applications through-out the multi-state footprint for the UMB associates. In addition to my technology responsibilities, I also lead the Business Continuity team which has a focus on the Business Unit recovery plans and their critical processes, vendor relationships and applications. I also serve as a Business Relationship Manager for a couple of the Business Units where I partner with the senior most Business leaders to translate Business needs into technology solutions.

General Manager for US Operations inclusive of technical resources, project management, and office management staff. Accountable for customer relationships, HR policy, budgetary management, staff competency development and review. Responsible for “as-sold” margins through-out the lifecycle of projects using a pro-active management of risk and cost mitigation strategies. Participate in sales presentations with the Business Development team as required.

Managed an organization that provides technical support to 15 airport locations where Ultra software is deployed. My team was responsible for 1st and 2nd level support which included onsite upgrade and installation work. Current installations utilize VMware servers with Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) clients, Unix and native Windows solutions. Completed VDI implementation in Seattle (190 positions) and Denver (50 positions).

2006-2008Assistant Director/Director Business Continuity and Data Center.Manage team based technical groups at American Century responsible for the support of the Mainframe, Performance Management and DB2 Systems programming teams. Added responsibilities for Business Continuity and Disaster Plannning at the corporate level. Overall ownership of Disaster recovery planning for Information Technology covering all systems supporting Business Critical functions. Completed key project to centralize and in-source all recovery related equipment for Mainframe, Windows, Unix and Storage.2001-2006Manager/Senior Manager Data CenterManaged the Unix Server, Mainframe, Capacity Planning and DB2 Systems Programming teams. Worked extensively during this period to oversee the virtualization and consolidation of the Unix environment and raised floor space in our Data Center. Developed failover and redundancy strategies that supported the needs of the business.
