Work under the supervision of the Resident Electrician and/or independently. Have a thorough working knowledge of electrical circuit diagrams, blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, PLC ladder/logic programs, and the National Electrical Code (NEC). I have acquired Journeyman-level knowledge by working alongside the Resident Electrician (Journeyman).

Work and make decisions independently on the maintenance, repairs and upgrades to a water system with a population of 120 people. Perform daily and monthly tests as required by the D.E.Q. and E.P.A. Respond immediately (on-call 7 days/week, 24 hours/day) to emergency problems with water system. Read water meters monthly. Interact with customers on problems and give suggestions on solutions to individual water system concerns and situations. Change filters, backwash multi-media pressure filtration systems, utilize electrical knowledge, change pump controllers, perform basic pump maintenance, have necessary intermediate plumbing knowledge, typically work. Participate in Board of Directors meetings, making recommendations on water system needs. Research costs, order and keep inventory of system supplies, chemicals and tools.
