Jeff focuses his practice on Artificial Intelligence and Intellectual Property Law (Our Practice Area - www.meimark.com/ai). Jeff brings the unique perspective of having tried a wide variety of cases before both juries and judges across the world. He has served as lead trial counsel in trials in federal district court, state court, military court, and the U.S. International Trade Commission. Jeff advises companies of all sizes, from startups to Fortune 50 corporations. He's advised companies on using their patents, trademarks, and other intellectual property as part of their strategy to grow their business. He has drafted, negotiated, and closed deals on major licensing agreements.Jeff is the author of the novel Forever Across The Marsh, a #1 Amazon Best Seller in 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, & 2024. He co-created justcites.com, built and coded for lawyers so they don’t have to flip through tables in the back of The Bluebook®.Jeff draws from a wide range of experience as an advisor and a teacher. A veteran of foreign wars, he has served in both Iraq and Afghanistan. He has served as both a prosecutor and a criminal defense attorney. He has also provided advice on family law matters, including divorce and estate planning, to military members and their families. Before entering private practice, Jeff taught law and leadership courses at the Naval Justice School. He is a member of grIP Venture Studio and is the founding sponsor of Clemson University’s Catalyst program, a two-semester program and competition that brings Science and Entrepreneurship together.
