I am currently grooming for a private kennel in which I get to solely focus on grooming and taking care of my furry clients to the best of my ability. I am still required to interact daily with our Pet Parents and talk with them one on one to find how they wish to have their dogs to look after grooming. Performing the groom is the main part of my job, dealing with dogs with the best temperament all the way to dogs that would rather not have their paws touched at all. It is my job to ensure the dog has the best over all experience with me including his/her bath, drying, brushing, nail trimming, ear cleaning, and finally all over hair cut. Communicating with the Pet Parent is by far the easier part of my job, communicating and reading the dog along with performing the groom in a safe timely manner is the exciting and challenging part of every dog that I groom. It is a wonderful challenge with every new dog that stands on my table, to complete their groom to their parents standards and to make the dog look his or her best by the end of their groom.
