My daily responsibilities include processing payments for new business and reinstatement applications via cash, check or credit card, changing customer account billing data as needed, helping internal and external customers with billing questions, investigate and research payments and move to intended account as necessary, and many other clerical duties. I am proficient is Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point and offer assistance with these programs as needed.My accomplishments include:• Assist in in the planning and developing of our new billing software program • Analyze and resolve billing issues which prevented complaints to the insurance commission on several occasions• Maintain the security of our insureds by suggesting social security numbers be redacted on all incoming policies• Influence the removal of unencrypted banking account information from displaying in our imaging system which prompted a new departmental policy.• Examine and modify current procedures to ensure we are following industry standard business practicesIn my department I am the only person to have customers call back to compliment my extraordinary customer service and also kept at least one customer from leaving the company over a bad experience with her insurance agent. Although customer service is not all that I do I make it my point to be as generous to our policy holders as I possibly can.

My main duties include providing administrative support to senior management; schedule and maintain exams for The Institutes testing center such as registration, ordering textbooks, and proctoring exams; handle projects with minimal supervision that may typically be complex and/or confidential in nature; maintain official department records including vacation and sick calendars, scheduling meetings and/or travel arrangements. I am also responsible for assisting underwriters by examining applications, policy changes, inspections, and questionnaires to determine eligibility and/or rating variables for new business or renewal, and correspond with agency personnel when required.
