Welcome to my LinkedIn Page!I am in Talent Acquisition... But what does it really mean to me? What do I get from it? I have a Bachelor's degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering. Back in 2006, fresh engineering graduates were being paid at the minimum wage bracket. I am the oldest of 5 and I knew that after I graduated, I needed to help my parents in supporting my siblings with their education. The BPO industry was booming in the Philippines at that time and they pay well so I decided to join the bandwagon and worked as a Customer Service Rep for a Telecom company. I thought to myself of going back to Engineering at some point.. Guess what? Did not happen. I discovered my passion in building relationships and people engagement, having that meaningful conversation and understanding where they are coming from. I love hearing stories, the "whats" and the "whys" and discerning in what way could I best help them. I have built my career around Customer Service moving into different roles - from a team member, to a Coach and Team Leader, to Project Management, and to Retail Operations. In short, PEOPLE are the very core of my career. Just when I thought that I have gone through all corners of customer service, I was given the opportunity to work as a Talent Acquisition Specialist in a Giant Tech company I was a part of, and from there, the concept of Customer experience was just elevated into a whole new level!
