I worked with with Money254, a popular Nairobi-based financial services marketplace, to develop a web application for comparing and applying for loan products in Kenya. Built with React and TypeScript.

I helped JustParent design and build several greenfield products including a dynamic pricing tool (React, TypeScript) and a user dashboard (Python, Django). I also set up internal tooling and processes, advised on product and technical decisions and best practices, and interviewed and onboarded their first engineering hire.

Taptap Send is helping migrant communities send money home to developing countries in the quickest, cheapest and most honest way possible. Right now we operate in the UK and the EU and support sending money to 12 countries, with more added every month.

I'm a full stack developer on the product team, which is embedded in the newsroom in Quartz's New York office. Responsible for overseeing and growing the engineering team alongside my duties as a senior developer. Act as a conduit between developers and management and be the voice for engineering within the company. Interview new developers to determine both their technical ability and compatibility with company culture. Mentor interns and junior developers. Organize trips to conferences and meetups.
