Data enthusiast with a drive for continual improvement, I find satisfaction in discovering the stories data tells and leveraging it for good.After an engaging decade utilizing data in the context of displaying and manipulating content on websites, I decided to pivot to using data more directly in analysis and decision-making. I enrolled in Springboard’s Data Science Career Track, an intensive 600-hour program where I learned Python, data analysis and visualization, hypothesis testing, machine learning, and more. I was instantly hooked. I have 5 years of programming experience building custom WordPress themes, which enabled me to focus on the other side of Data Science: the complex and fascinating world of statistics. I am now a proud graduate and Certificate-holder with two capstone projects (and dozens of ideas on how to improve them). While working through this course I was also working on something else: I welcomed a tiny human into the world in May 2021. I’ve already used Time Series Analysis and Forecasting on data I collected during my pregnancy (check out my project “Gestational Diabetes Onset Prediction”).Data Science is a natural fit for me for many reasons:
