Coordinate and facilitate the activities of the State Historian’s Council and work with scholars across the state and the nation to ensure that History Colorado’s exhibitions and other products reflect the most current scholarship. Support the State Historian’s Council as the primary point of contact for the public as well as History Colorado staff.

Produced original research and writing on a wide range of current policy questions facing the US West, particularly education, energy development, water use, natural resource policy, and shifting socioeconomics.Coordinated statewide efforts to facilitate a greater focus on Colorado in K-12 social studies and science classes. This work included the creation of curricular materials, serving on the editorial board of the Colorado Encyclopedia, and working in partnership with a variety of education-focused organizations around the state.Managed projects, including supervising teams of researchers and support staff on a project-by-project basis, facilitating collaboration with third parties, and organizing conferences and events.Crafted innovative and effective communication strategies for a broad spectrum of audiences – including industry, the environmental community, policymakers, and the general public – across a variety of media platforms. Oversaw the production of publications, including developing content, working with authors, overseeing layout and design, devising and monitoring production schedules, negotiating copyright law, and coordinating distribution.

Managed all aspects of publication – from article acceptance through distribution – for a variety of internationally circulated medical journals including Human Pathology, Journal of Cardiac Failure, and Pediatric Neurology.
