Jim’s practice helps providers successfully negotiate and administer managed care contracts. Equally strong is Jim’s experience developing and managing clinical integration, accountable care, and value-based incentive programs. Managed care success requires local market knowledge. Jim has represented provider clients across the table from every major payer in Texas. Clients include most major Texas systems, regional referral centers and dozens of rural hospitals. Prior to starting WayPoint, Jim gained direct industry experience at Texas Health Resources developing the Dallas and East Texas markets for the Harris Methodist Health Plan, serving as a hospital administrator at St. Paul Medical Center, and building a multi-specialty physician independent practice association. Jim also served as the National Managed Care Service Line Leader at Ernst & Young’s Health Sciences Advisory Practice.
