As the director of PR services, I was responsible for setting new business strategy and leading all PR and social media accounts for the agency. I oversaw daily operations for several accounts in the healthcare, fast-casual dining, real estate, consumer products and online services industries.

• Coordinate media relations activities for all four Piedmont hospitals in Georgia, Piedmont Heart Institute offices, Piedmont outpatient centers and Piedmont Physicians Group.• Serve as media spokesperson for the +4,000 person organization. Have secured prominent media coverage for physicians and their work in local media as well as national media such as NBC Nightly News and a variety of CNN broadcast and digital channels.• Create and produce content for digital media projects including video interviews with Piedmont physicians and patients.• Monitor and engage in conversations via the company’s social media channels.• Direct all onsite media visits ensuring patient privacy and security for both pitched stories and crisis communications.• Assist with content and production schedule for HealthwatchMD.com.

• Directed a PR staff of five on projects for a variety of clients across the country.• Directed the Bayer Advanced lawn and garden account, along with its sponsorship of the Tournament of Roses Parade. • Handled messaging for issues involving environmental groups and Bayer product active ingredients.• Managed creation of web content for bayeradvanced.com, which received thousands of visits daily. • Worked with our spokesperson and author Lance Walheim to book appearances on national TV shows, radio shows and print interviews throughout the year, as well as during the Rose Parade for Bayer Advanced.• Directed many other national accounts, including Little Debbie snack cakes, Sunbelt Snacks and Cereals, and Airborne dietary supplements.• Assisted with the creation of social media campaigns for Little Debbie and Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Alabama. • Secured several new business accounts for the agency including Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Alabama and Talladega Superspeedway.

Public Relations Manager at Six Flags Over Georgia 2002-2006 and Six Flags Great America 2006-2007.• Directed all creative work, PR plan execution, satellite media tour, and resulting news coverage of GOLIATH – the largest roller coaster in the Southeast. The work was awarded a PRSA Georgia chapter Phoenix Awards Certificate of Excellence and generated an unprecedented 15 million impressions for the opening alone.• Created a social media network for fans of Six Flags Over Georgia that included online forums and blogs. Managed the company's website content.• Called upon to assist with coordination and interviews at media preview of the world’s tallest and fastest roller coaster at Six Flags Great Adventure in Jackson, NJ.
